The journey to becoming the best version of yourself
Season 1 – Chapter 2 – The Guide – Article 1 of 5

In the first chapter of The Journey to becoming the best version of yourself, we talked about making choices.

To choose is to set a direction for one’s path.

But choosing a direction doesn’t mean you’ll always be able to keep it clearly in sight.

And this is exactly where the second chapter of our journey begins:

The Guide.

Losing your way doesn’t mean you have to start over

Imagine you’re on a trail.

You know where you want to go; you’ve already chosen your path, but at some point you can no longer be sure which direction to take.

You don’t necessarily need a new destination.

You need a point of reference.

A compass doesn’t decide where you should go. You’re the one who chose the destination.

The compass has another function: it helps you find your way.

A guide doesn’t choose for you

The choice is still yours.

Guidance is more of a reminder of what you’ve decided, the intention you’ve set, and the quality you most want to bring into your life.

It can remind you of the courage you decided to muster when facing a challenge.

The calm you want to rediscover in times of stress.

The trust you want to build.

The determination with which you want to pursue a goal.

The direction already exists.

When a symbol becomes personal

People have always attributed meaning to objects.

An object can remind us of a moment, a promise, a person, an achievement, or a decision.

Its symbolic value stems from the associations we make with it.

The same thing can happen with jewellery.

When you consciously choose to associate jewellery with an intention, that jewellery ceases to be merely something you wear.

It can become a personal point of reference.

You’ll run into it during the day.

You can see it on your wrist or around your neck.

You touch it almost without realizing it.

And that simple gesture can bring to mind what you had chosen.

From symbol to everyday gesture

And this is where the concept of driving takes on a concrete form.

You don’t necessarily need elaborate rituals.

Sometimes all it takes is to stop for a few seconds.

Look at your piece of jewellery.

Breathe.

Remember the intention we associated with it.

And ask yourself:

“Does the action I am about to take lead me in the direction I have chosen?”

The jewel doesn’t provide the answer.

It doesn’t make the decision.

It doesn’t change our lives for us.

It simply reminds us to return to ourselves and to the path we have chosen.

The meaning of Gemme Sogni jewellery

It is from this idea that the concept of the guidiing jewel within Gemme Sogni was born.

Natural stones, the stars that inspire the collections, and the meaning attributed to each creation can accompany different intentions and moments in life.

There isn’t necessarily just one piece of jewellery that represents your entire life story.

We change, we take on new experiences, and we may need to develop different qualities.

For this reason, in this chapter, we will delve deeper and deeper into the relationship between intention, symbolism, and jewellery.

We’ll learn how to choose what best suits a particular moment and, above all, how to turn an item we wear into a personal statement that we can incorporate into our daily lives.

Because a guidebook shouldn’t tell you where to go.

You’ve already chosen the direction.

It’s just meant to help you remember it.
