ARCHANGELS:

Ariel, Gabriel and Uriel

COLOURS:

yellow to dark golden brown

THE ORIGINS:

Quartz is a widespread crystal throughout the world, but citrine quartz is a fairly rare variety. The main sources are found in Scotland (Arran Islands) and Russia (Ural Mountains), while other deposits are found in Brazil, Africa, India, the United States, France and Spain.

Quartz is found in intrusive magmatic rocks such as pegmatites, in metamorphic rocks and in effusive rocks. It often lines the interior of geodes, cavities formed by gases in molten lava. During cooling, these geodes assume spherical or elongated shapes depending on the magma flow and are often covered with minerals, including quartz.

Citrine quartz is often found in the same areas as amethyst quartz, and sometimes mixed specimens known as amethrine or amethyst-citrine quartz are mined. The natural variety of citrine quartz is rarer than amethyst or hyaline quartz and may be confused with topaz by the uninitiated.

In its natural form, it is relatively rare and is characterized by a bright yellow hue with a slight pleochroism. In crystal therapy, it is considered a stone with powerful healing properties of great value.

Every stone has beneficial properties for daily life and health, and some gems, in addition to their beauty and value, possess extraordinary powers, such as citrine quartz. While not as famous as diamond, citrine quartz is considered one of the most powerful and useful gems. Its name comes from "citrin," an ancient French word meaning yellow.

PROPERTIES, CHARACTERISTICS AND BENEFITS:

In crystal therapy it is highly valued for its connection with the element fire, which is considered a source of vitality and energy. It is said to strengthen the will, stimulate imagination and enhance creativity. It is also believed to absorb negative energy, sad thoughts and unwanted emotions. This crystal helps overcome unhealthy patterns, increase self-esteem and attract abundance. When used with concentration during meditation, it is especially effective in manifesting abundance in various aspects of life, such as money, time, health and well-being.

Citrine quartz, associated with solar energy, promotes joy and cheerfulness. It is perfect for recharging, increasing mental clarity, lucidity and organizational skills. It improves interpersonal relationships and facilitates communication, being useful in study and work, especially in important decisions. It acts on the 3rd chakra, helping to adapt to new things and freeing us from fixed ideas and conditioning. It is also known as the stone of abundance, promoting financial and business success.

Citrine quartz cleanses the physical, emotional, and mental body, eliminating toxins and strengthening self-healing. It is useful for treating depression, reducing anxiety, fear and eating disorders, and is used in diabetes and bladder infections. It promotes digestion, stimulates circulation, liver and cleansing organ function, and supports nerves.

Always known as the health gem, it is considered a powerful detoxifier, protecting the body from poisons, including snake venom. It is believed to promote good health, preventing cardiovascular, circulatory and kidney disorders. In addition, this stone also purifies the mind, banishing negative thoughts, anxieties, and mental turmoil, enhancing self-esteem, positive energy, and inner strength. It is often used in jewellery such as necklaces, bracelets or pendants, but according to crystal therapy it is not recommended to wear it during sleep, as its energy may hinder relaxation.

A gemstone of great value, prized not only for its beauty and rarity, but also for its therapeutic properties, recognized since ancient times. To maintain its vitality, it is important to clean it with cold salty water and recharge it under the sun, avoiding direct exposure to light. The accumulated solar energy is then transferred to the holder, giving it the positive energy of citrine quartz.

Meditating with a citrine placed on the solar plexus helps channel energy, enabling us to approach tasks with the right priority and increasing inner intuition. If kept in the drawer or purse, it helps protect and increase money, which is why it was once called the "merchants' stone."

Chakra: 3rd centre the solar plexus.
