THE ORIGINS:

Hematite has been known since ancient times for its balancing properties on physical energies and ability to promote mental concentration. Raw Hematite deposits are widespread throughout the world, with important sources in Sweden, Ukraine, Canada, England, Australia, Russia, Morocco, South Africa and India. In Spain it is found in the Bilbao area, while in Italy it is found mainly on Elba Island, in the Bacino and Valle Giove sites, and in the central Alps, where it forms the characteristic "iron roses."
